How much is postage
& packing?
P&P is £2.95 for order values up to
£29.99 and free for orders over £30.00.
Do you deliver Overseas?
We cannot deliver to the USA – sorry
we can not get a reasonable insurance cover for this.
We can deliver to other countries – you
need to contact us
for instructions. We charge P&P at cost which will be
added the cost to your basket. Please do NOT check out until
we have added the postage.
I live in the EU do I have to pay
VAT?
If you live in the EU – yes you pay
VAT.
I do not live in the EU do I have
to pay VAT?
Non-EU orders will be VAT free, but should
there be any import taxes on entry to your country this
will be your liability. Please note that you must contact
us BEFORE checking out if you are ordering from overseas.
I live in the Channel Islands do I
have to pay VAT ?
Channel Islands orders are VAT Free.
Do you accept Personal Cheques?
Yes – simply select this option at the
checkout. Orders are picked and held for up to 7 days. Once
payment is received, your order will be despatched after
3 working days to allow for cheque clearance. You will be
emailed when the order is picked, when payment is received
and finally when despatched.

Yes – simply select this option at the
checkout. Orders are picked and held for up to 7 days. Once
payment is received, your order will be despatched on the
same day. Your will be emailed when the order is picked
and finally when despatched.
Is my Credit Card payment secure?
Yes – we use WorldPay (owned and operated
by Natwest/Royal Bank of Scotland). You will see the ‘padlock’
security symbol once you enter their screen.
Why I have been asked to activate
extra security by WorldPay?
This is your bank trying make your internet
payments more secure. It is up to you whether or not to
do this, although, it does increase security. The downside
is that it will increase your checkout time now and in the
future.
Why does WorldPay not let me checkout?
WorldPay uses Pop-up windows – if these
have been blocked, then when you press the payment button
then the screen will just refresh. In order to avoid this,
click on the highlighted bar at the top of the screen and
‘allow pop-ups’.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Getting orders out asap is our priority. See
our Terms
& Shipping page for more details. If you order has
an item out of stock, we may hold your order if expect that
item within a few days to avoid multiple deliveries.
How does ‘YouWantItWeGetIt!’
work?
These are niche/specialist items that we order
especially for you. The remainder of your order will be
sent out in the normal manner. The ‘YouWantItWeGetIt!’
items’ product code starts with a * and are sent out
asap after receipt.
My order has been despatched, but
it has not arrived?
Parcels are sent 2nd Class or Parcel Post. This
keeps postage costs low (£2.95 for £29.99 or less
& FREE for £30+) Most parcels will arrive within
3-5 working days. Please check at your local
Sorting Office in case it is being held for you. The postman
is supposed to leave a note, but often don’t!
If it has still not arrived 15 working days
after despatch please contact
us. Sorry Royal Mail does not consider an item lost until
15 workings days after despatch, so we can not claim until
then.
Can I order by phone?
You can but this does incur and additional £2
administration fee. It may take 2 working days to process
and at busy times we may not be able to take calls - best
avoid ringing on a Monday.
I have phoned – but there is
no reply?
We are usually in the Office 10am-3pm, but during
very busy times we are unable to answer the phone. Leave a
message with as much detail as possible and we will get back
you via phone or email asap.
My password/email doses not work?
These are case sensitive. Please check that
you are entering exactly the same – good tip is to
all ways use lowercase.
I have requested a password and it
has not arrived.
Some internet service providers (AOL in particular)
block emails if not in your address book, so add stamps.co.uk
to your address book.
I have been sent a wrong item?
Firstly, please accept our apologies. We do
double check our orders, but occasionally mistakes slip through.
Please contact us,
let us know the error and we will put it right as quickly
as possible. Please do NOT return items unless asked to do
so. If you are asked to return the item you will be re-imbursed
for the 2nd Class postage costs once the items is received.
