Project of the Month
FILM STRIP
This card is perfect for a film buff and could easily be
adapted for a man by using more masculine papers.

You will Need
2 Sheets A4 Black Card 6 sheets £1.64 (CPT01020)
Papermania Colossal Ivory Tones Border Strips ONLY 99p for
50 sheets (PMA322)
Papermania Rub-ons Alphabets in a Box £1.49 (PMA7482)
Stick-It! Glue Stick 20g (STI3040)
Stix2 - double-sided tape (easy tear & fingerlift) (stix6/12)
Tools
Guillotine
Scissors
1) The final closed card size is 30x16cm. To achieve this
score one of the A4 sheets of black card lengthways at 16cm
and fold over. Trim the other with a Guillotine at the same
position.
2) The folded card will be the front, slot the trimmed 30x16cm
piece behind it. Join with double-sided tape. The folded overlap
will be at the back of the card.
3) Simply cover this with a chosen border strip & trim
with sharp scissors if required. Thus:

4) For each side borders I used 20 2x1cm pieces. Cut two 2cm
wide length way strips so that you have two pieces 30x2cm.
5) Then chop each piece into 1cm pieces. Position each piece
so that you are able to re-assemble design down the side of
the card.
6) Fold your card out flat and position the border pieces
equal distances apart.
7) Choosing your papers cut five 8x5cm rectangles.
8) Cut one in two length ways and position at the top and
bottom. This does not have to be exactly half in fact it looks
better different heights!
9) Using the rub-ons add your message to the chosen rectangles.
10) Position the remaining 4 rectangles centrally equal distances
apart.
11) Finally once you are happy with the paper positions fix
to the card using a glue stick.
Tip
A Glue Stick is best for this job - as PVA soaks into the
paper and double-sided tape would take too long and can not
be easily adjusted..
